Create a chart

Charts are the building blocks of a dashboard. Use them to display the metrics you and your team are most interested in.

To create a new chart for a dashboard:

1. Open the chart editor. To do this, you can either:

   1. select Create from the Analytics navigation

   2. select Add chart from a dashboard’s sidebar

2. Query the data required for the chart. You can create a query using either:

   • Visual mode

   • SQL mode

3. Transform the queried data using other Visual SQL steps. View the available Visual SQL steps.

4. Customize your chart.

   1. Select a chart type.

   2. Select the gear icon to modify the chart settings.

5. Select Save to dashboard to save the chart to a new or existing dashboard.
