Our documentation now lives on the Atlassian Support site at https://support.atlassian.com/analytics/resources/.
Data source and dashboard permissions
There are different permission levels you can assign to users to configure their access to a data source or dashboard.
Data source permissions and dashboard permissions are independent of each other. For example, if a person has access to a data source used for a dashboard, it does not automatically give them access to that dashboard. They’ll need the appropriate permission level assigned to them to access the dashboard.
Analytics admin permissions
Analytics admins have the ability to access all data sources and dashboards in the analytics workspace. When an Analytics admin opens a dashboard or views a data source’s settings for the first time, they are automatically granted permission to manage that dashboard or data source.

If you have permission to view a dashboard and permission to query all the data sources used in a chart on that dashboard, you’ll see an Explore chart data option in the chart’s “More options” menu. You cannot save changes to the chart, but you can edit the chart and save a copy to a dashboard that you can edit or manage.
